    large green pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)

  • 1/4

    teaspoon ground black pepper

    cups Campbell's® Tomato Juice

    can (about 15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1

    can (about 15 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1/4

    cup sour cream

  • 1/4

    cup sliced green onion

  • 1/4

    cup shredded Cheddar cheese

  • 1/4

    cup chopped tomato

How to Make It

Step 1

Cook the beef, green pepper, onion, chili powder and black pepper in a 10-inch skillet until the beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat.  Pour off any fat.

Step 2

Stir the tomato juice and beans in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling.  Top the beef mixture with the sour cream, green onion, Cheddar cheese and tomato before serving.

    Great Basic recipe

    I have used this recipe for years. I occasionally make it spicier but it is easy to make milder and have extras to add for those who like it hot. Huge hit at tail-gates. Simple and seems to appeal to a wide broad section of tastes. I prefer to use red kidney beans and pintos but it is easy to just experiment with your favorites. I never have left overs.

    Best out there

    This chilli is really good I have never been able to make it better than this recipe I put 3 peppers in and two onions and a big heaping tbs minced garlic plus I put a steak rub in but the base is outrageous

    2 bean chilli

    I love this recipe make it all the time. I got the recipe off of a campbell tomato juice can. Just seen the nutrition for it on this site can't believe it is that many calories for a cup. I don't put the topping on my chilli when I eat it though, Would love to fine out if I am misunderstanding the calories for a cup. Could any one let me know? One cup of this I would spend all most all my calories for the day.

    This is delious

    Im making this tonight for dinner its super easy, i left out a few items for mine. i left out the tomato and sliced green onion, instead of tomatoes i used Campbell's tomato soup along with the tomato juice. i also got a packet of chili seasoning with the chili powder. salt and pepper to taste. For the bell pepper, i bought a container of Green and red bell peppers with onions and just chopped them up into smaller pieces and cooked it with the meat chili powder and the chili seasoning packet, then i added the tomato juice(i bought a pack of 8 campbells cans) and then the tomato soup,then i topped it with sour cream and cheese.
