    teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • 1

    package (12.5 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Apple Turnovers

  • 2

    tablespoons butter, melted

  • 1

    cup caramel topping

  • 1/4

    cup finely chopped crystallized ginger

  • 1/4

    cup finely chopped sweetened sweetened dried cranberries

  • 1/2

    cup sweetened whipped cream(optional)

How to Make It

Step 1

Stir the sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl. Brush the turnovers with the butter and sprinkle with the sugar mixture. Bake and cool the turnovers according to the package directions.

Step 2

Heat the caramel topping, ginger and cranberries in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat until the mixture is hot. Serve the turnovers with the sauce. Top with the whipped cream, if desired.

    Apple Turnovers with Gingered Cranberry Caramel Sauce

    Do not put the sugar on the turnovers and bake for the recommended time on the box. Mine came out burned and black smoke filled the kitchen. The next time I make these I'll put the sugar on with just a couple of minutes left on baking time. Or not put the sugar on at all. The sauce is very sweet and delicious.
