Makes the best baked chicken and the house smells great!

I put the soup mix in a coffee bean grinder and grind it into a powder than add to the breadcrumbs. I use 2 eggs, slightly beaten for 2 chicken breasts and omit the water. Then I dip the chicken breasts in egg then in the breadcrumb/soup mixture and then I fry them in a frying pan with a little oil to set the coating then put them on a Pam sprayed cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven and bake 50 to 55 minutes.

    Delicious - followed other reviewers!

We used larger chicken breasts and increased the baking time to 30min at 400 deg. Following other reviewers, we used 2 eggs (no water) and coated the chicken in flour prior to the egg wash/bread crumbs. Instead of plain panko crumbs we used a 3 cheese blend. The end result was flavorful, moist chicken!

Amazing with some minor modifications !

I made this recipe because I had a ton of onion soup mix in the house but I did modify it slightly. I crushed the onion soup mix and saltine crackers together in a zip plastic bag so that there was an even mixture and texture. After that, I coated the chicken in flour, then dipped it in an egg wash and then into the soup/crumb mixture. The result was ridiculously good for so easy of a recipe and I think flour coating really created a super moist chicken. I made it for friends and felt bad I didn't have enough for everyone to have a second serving! Definitely making again!
