    jar (24 ounces) Prego® Spicy Sausage Meat Sauce

  • 1

    package (16 ounces) frozen cheese tortellini

  • 3

    cups fresh or thawed frozen broccoliflorets

  • 1

    cup shredded mozzarella cheese(about 4 ounces)

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oven to 350°F.  Spray an 11x8x2-inch baking dish with vegetable cooking spray. 

Step 2

Stir the sauce, frozen tortellini and broccoli in a large bowl.  Pour the tortellini mixture into the baking dish.  Cover the baking dish.

Step 3

Bake for 30 minutes.  Uncover the baking dish.  Sprinkle with the cheese.

Step 4

Bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

    Definitely a keeper

    Husband and I thought this was delicious and we both went back for more. I made two modifications: instead of using sauce with sausage in it, I browned and broke up some hamburger sized mild Italian sausage patties that I had on hand and then used Prego Traditional sauce. I also pre-cooked my broccoli for a few minutes. It was fine with 10 minutes of uncovered cooking time, but may have been due to the sausage and broccoli having been pre-cooked.

    The broccoli made the recipe!

    The next time I make this, I'm thinking of substituting the tortellini with spaghetti, since I know now that I'm not a tortellini kind of person. With the spaghetti and broccoli together, that should make it interesting!

    Quick and tasty!

    This dish is SO easy to make and a great go to when you want something easy, but delicious and filling. My youngest did think it was a bit too spicy, so I would recommend a less spicy sauce if you are feeding this to little ones.
