How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oven to 350°F. Line a 3-quart shallow baking pan with aluminum foil with 2 inches of foil extending beyond the edges of the pan.  Lightly grease the foil.

Step 2

Stir the flour mixture, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.

Step 3

Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.  Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.

Step 4

Reduce the speed to low.  Slowly add the flour and beat just until combined. Stir in 1 3/4 cups M&M's.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with the remaining M&M's.

Step 6

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.

Step 7

Cool the blondies in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Use the foil to remove the blondies from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.

great for everyone to enjoy, great recipe.

Wonderful cake like, brownie like bars, great tasting, every time I have made these bars everyone has loved them, specially the small kids, they like to pick out the candy M&M's to eat. These bars travel great when going out of town to visit friends, family or going on a picnic.

This is sooo easy to make... And absolutely delicous. came out a perfect brownie texture, and the ingredients to use are very staple items around the house. A great last minute go to recipe if needed or anytime you want to make a great dessert. Wonderful to do with kids as well.

PERFECT! Mine was the texture of a brownie, not cake. I left it in fridge uncovered for 2 hours.

It tasted good but it was more like a cake than a brownie. The family liked it nonetheless.
