    pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves(about 6 breast halves)

  • 1/8

    teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/2

    teaspoon dried oregano leavesor dried basil leaves, crushed

    teaspoon olive oil

    cups Prego® Heart Smart™ Traditional Italian Sauce

    cup white cannellini beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1

How to Make It

Step 1

Season the chicken with the black pepper and oregano.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until it's well browned on both sides.

Step 3

Stir the sauce in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Uncover the skillet. Stir in the beans and spinach and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

    Very Good!

    My husband loved this recipe!!! I did use the garlic as indicated, but also sprinkled lemon pepper, from McCormick, on the chicken 'strips' as well. This gave the chicken added flavor and kick. Simmering time was maybe 10 minutes less due to using chicken strips. I am making again tonight.

    Very good!

    Made this for dinner and it was a huge hit, me and my husband enjoyed it very much. Even my daughter ate her helping :)

    I made the recipe exactly the way it was written. It looked exactly like the picture. But the taste was horrible! Didn't like the beans or the sauce. On top of that everyone in my family got sick from it. I checked the temperature and it was perfect, the recipe just wasn't good. Extremely disappointing.

    We loved this. It's so different, but delicious. almost didn't make it, but glad I did. It's a keeper. Yummy!
