    cans (22.6 ounces each) Campbells® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • 6 1/2

    cups milk

  • 1

    cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)

How to Make It

Cook the beef and onion in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until the beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the soup and milk in the saucepan. Cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Cook and stir until the cheese is melted. Divide the soup among 8 serving bowls. Top each bowl with 1 tablespoon remaining cheese and 2 tablespoons croutons.

    yummy

    Very good added potatoes, and instead of croutons used French's fried onions. Only next time wont add so much milk and add more veggies less online.

    Used Some modifications from reviews

    This recipe is very simple to fix. I tweaked it just a little by adding more salt and pepper and garlic , seasoning salt and potatoes. My wife loved it. Have to cut back on the onions so my son will eat it next time.

    kids loved it

    This was so simple and easy. My kids are picky eaters even mine loved it. I used velveeta cheese instead of the cheddar which gave it a smooth creaminess to it. And of course added bacon.

    Family Favorite

    Anyone that has tried this soup has either requested for me to make it again or they want the recipe. My family likes me adding diced up potatoes and a bag of frozen petite corn, but it is also good without them. This soup is perfect for those who are short on time because it is so quick and easy to make.

    We have always called this Texas Hash

    My family has made this recipe since I was a child. (I am now 63.) The only difference (which adds a lot of flavor) in our recipe add a Sweet Pepper diced into small pieces. We serve it over mashed potatoes. I love soups which cook for hours to merge all the flavors so we have a total time of 2 - 3 hours, but if you are in a a hurry exchange 1/2 the milk for beef broth.
