How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chicken with the salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until the chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm. Reduce the heat to medium.

Step 2

Stir the Alfredo sauce in the skillet and heat through. Add the chicken and fettuccine and toss to coat.

Step 3

Sprinkle with the parsley and serve immediately.

Recipe Tips

  • Preparation Shortcut: You may substitute 2 packages (about 9 ounces each) refrigerated cooked chicken strips for the fresh chicken and omit step 1.
  • For Chicken Bacon Alfredo, stir in 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon (about 4 slices cooked drained and crumbled) with the sauce.

I skipped the first step (and the oil) by using a 1 lb. package of fresh, pre-cooked chicken strips. I added fresh-ground pepper when I mixed the sauce, fettuccine and chicken together. Also, because my family loves them, I added a jar of sliced mushrooms (drained). It was a big hit, and so quick and easy with the pre-cooked chicken!

It's somthing you can get together in no time at all, and really tastes good. I used a bit of garlic salt too.
