    tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 1/4

    pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

  • 1

    can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • 1/2

    cup milk

  • 1/8

    teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1

    cup long grain white rice, prepared according to package directions (about 3 cups)

    tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

How to Make It

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides. Stir the soup, milk and black pepper in the skillet and heat to a boil.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.  Serve the chicken and sauce with the rice.  Sprinkle with the parsley.

    Delicious

    It was so good instead of using cream of mushroom though i used cream of chicken it really brought out the flavor

    Excellent Recipe

    I have been making this recipe for many years after first seeing it on a Cambells Soup can. My other half looks forward to this meal at least once a month. Goes great with rice and broccoli on the side.

    Chicken in Mushroom Sauce

    This recipe came out great after I tweeked it a little bit. First, when I cooked the chicken, instead of just putting the chicken in the pan to fry. i dipped it in seasoned flour and then fried it. I also sauteed some mushrooms on the side and then added it to the pan when I added the Cream of Mushroom Soup. I think next time i will add more milk because it dries up really fast. Also I sliced the chicken breast nice and thin. Got a lot more serving that way and tasted better. I hate cutting into big chicken breast plus it cooks a lot faster.
