tablespoons orange-flavored orange liqueuror 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
teaspoon ground cinnamon
Ecce Panis Semolina Loaf, cut into 1-inch slices
Grate 2 teaspoons zest from the orange.
Beat the eggs, milk, orange zest, liqueur and cinnamon in a shallow baking dish with a fork or whisk. Place several bread slices into the egg mixture and turn to coat.
Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the coated bread slices and cook until lightly browned on both sides. Repeat with the remaining bread slices, adding additional butter to the skillet, if needed. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired. Serve with additional butter and pure maple syrup.
