    cup grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make It

Stir the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and eggs in a medium bowl and set it aside. In a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, cook the beef until it's well browned, stirring often to break up the meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the sauce in the saucepan. Spoon 1 cup meat mixture in each of two 2-quart shallow baking dishes. Top each with 2 lasagna noodles and about 1 1/4 cups cheese mixture. Repeat the layers. Top with the remaining 2 lasagna noodles, remaining meat mixture and the Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes or it's until hot and bubbling. Let stand for 10 minutes.

Recipe Tips

  • Tip: To freeze, prepare lasagna but do not bake. Cover tightly with foil and freeze. Bake frozen lasagna uncovered at 350°F. for 1 hour 15 minutes or until hot. Or, refrigerate 24 hours to thaw. Bake thawed lasagna uncovered at 350°F. for 50 minutes or until hot. Let stand for 10 minutes.

    I can't get enough of this lasagna!

    I have made everything from the basic recipe to adding slices of heirloom tomatoes, baby spinach and portobello mushrooms between the layers and it is so good!! Many of my friends who only like the plain recipe love that this can have such variety and still be delicious!!

    This dish looks good and tastes great

    I love its simplicity. I did start with garlic and onions and added some extra spices. With the addition of the eggs and the mixing of the cheeses, it made it more moist than when I usually make it from the instructions on the back of the pasta box. Definitely an upgrade.

    so simple

    I added diced, cooked brown mushrooms to the ground meat and my boys did not know the difference. So easy, so quick to put together.

    Wheat free...brown rice lasagna noodles are perfect with this.

    This recipe is so easy to personalize with ground turkey or chicken, goat cheeses when available and brown rice noodles. The Prego Pasta sauce takes over the flavours and no one will know how healthy you have actually made this delicious dish.

    Easy recipe

    If you want a genuine Italian lasagna recipe, this isn't it. I love authentic Italian, but I don't like to go to the store for 20 ingredients just for one dish. I have been looking for an easy recipe for a while now. This was perfect and my husband and daughter loved it! It takes no time and it tastes great. It's also very good leftover, if not better! I've already passed this one onto my mom and I can't wait to make it again.
