Crushed French fried onions mix with chili powder to coat boneless chicken breasts in this flavorful baked dish that's topped with melted taco blend cheese...yum!

    can  (2.8 ounces) French's® French Fried Onions (Original or Cheddar) (about 1 1/3 cups)

  • 1

    tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 1/4

    pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

  • 1/2

    cup Pace® Chunky Salsa

  • 1/4

    cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

How to Make It

Place 1 cup onions and the chili powder into a resealable plastic bag.  Seal the bag and crush the onions with a rolling pin.
Pour the onion mixture onto a dish.  Press the chicken into the onion mixture to coat.  Place the chicken onto a baking sheet.  Top the chicken with the salsa and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400ºF for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.  Sprinkle with the remaining onions.

    He likes it, Hey Mikey!

    We just finished this one for dinner. I have a son who swears he doesn't like onions. He never knew this was made from onions and I'll never tell him. He ate 2 pieces and couldn't stop raving about how good it was. A "definitely make again meal."

    Crispy Mexican Chicken

    I only added the chili powder and well when I bake it, I put a little water in the bottom of the dish... that was all I did and it was great!! p.s. idk if this was a being pregnant thing or not but I topped it off with a little sour cream and yummmOoo!!

    Crispy Mexican Chicken

    I am not a big fan of chicken, but made it for my family when they were home for Christmas. It was the tenderest and juciest chicken I've ever had. I'm making it again tonight and printing this and sending it to all of my children who are out on their own.
