Yes, you can make a restaurant-style dinner really fast.  In this dish, shrimp sautés quickly with trinity--Creole for green pepper, onion and celery--and is stirred into a creamy sauce to top hot rice.

    tablespoon butter

  • 2

    stalks celery, chopped (about 1 cup)

  • 1/4

    cup chopped green pepper

  • 2

    green onion, sliced (about 1/4 cup)

  • 1

    pound fresh large shrimp, shelled and deveined

  • 1

    can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup

  • 1/2

    cup water

  • 1

    dash cayenne pepper

  • 3

    cups hot cooked white rice

  • 2

    teaspoons paprika

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the butter in a 10-inch skillet.  Add the celery, green pepper and green onions and cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.  Add the shrimp and cook for 3 minutes or until they're cooked through, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Stir the soup, water and cayenne pepper in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling.  Serve the shrimp mixture over the rice.  Sprinkle with the paprika.

    Delicious Weeknight Dinner

    I have 2 small kids and they loved it (I just served theirs without cayenne pepper). My 6 year old even asked for 2nd's. Being a working mom I am looking for something new and easy to try and this was PERFECT!!

    One great recipe !!

    I love this recipe BUT I am back living in Canada and we can't get the Cream of Shrimp soup in Canada. Can you do something about that ?? I would be one happy shopper if you could.

    So easy and so yummy!

    I used big precooked shrimp that just needed to be warmed through, and it was still SO good. I made no other substitutes. It was so good that I would have been happy to be served this in a restaurant. Super easy too, but no one would ever guess!

    Quick, but GOURMET!!

    I have the original recipe from Cream of Shrimp Soup can... Do not substitute with Cream of Chicken. And, for added flavor, use Zatarains Seasoning in addition to the cayenne. It is a great recipe. Add the Red Lobster Biscuits (from Sam's Club) and you got Red Lobster at home for half the price.

    listen to the other reviewers and use Cream of Shrimp soup!

    I made the recipe exactly as listed except used Cream of Shrimp soup. It was very good, my family loved it, and I will make it again.
