How to Make It

Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with foil. Spray with vegetable cooking spray. Heat the oven to 350ºF. Melt the chocolate and shortening in a 2-cup glass measuring cup in the microwave for 2 minutes on HIGH, or until the shortening is melted. Stir the mixture until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the sugar and vanilla. Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Gradually stir in the flour until the mixture is smooth. Spread the chocolate mixture in the baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Cool the pan completely on a wire rack. Invert the pan onto a baking sheet. Remove the foil and re-invert the brownies onto a cutting board. Cut into 18 squares.

    Fudgy Brownies

Very bland and bitter. Texture was nice but this was the first time my husband didn't mow through a batch of Brownies.
