How to Make It

Step 1

Thoroughly mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion powder, dash Worcestershire and egg in a large bowl and shape the mixture into small meatballs.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook until they're well browned. Pour off any fat. Stir the soup, water, milk, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire, green onion, garlic and artificial sweetener in a medium bowl. Add the soup mixture to the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the meatballs are cooked through and the soup mixture thickens.

Recipe Tips

  • Flavor Variation: If desired, stir in 1 can mushroom pieces, drained or 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms with the soup mixture.
  • Serving Suggestion: Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked bow tie pasta, egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

    Super easy and so good

This recipe is one that i make often. I serve it with egg noodles. I bake the meatballs instead of cooking them in the skillet. I prepare as the directions say to, but then bake them at 350 for about 20 minutes. Its alot less messy and turns out great, then just add the sauce to the meatballs and heat and serve.

    Golden Sauced Meatballs

I used frozen meatballs (Market Day) and a can of mushrooms. I used one packet of Sweet and Low, which I thought made it too sweet. I think SL is sweeter than sugar, so next time I will use real sugar in small amounts and taste as I go. (I do agree it needs a little sweetness and both my daughter and husband liked it, but I added plenty of pepper and a dash extra Worchester sauce to offset it.) I served it over mashed potatoes and everyone around the table loved that they got to build a moat to hold the meatball and then the volcano of gravy spilling over the sides! Very fast recipe and tasty. Will make again as my daughter already commented, "this will be good in the winter."

    Golden Sauced Meatballs

YUM! I put in extra seasonings because my family prefers everything kind of spicy/seasoned. I added some creole seasoning and black pepper to the sauce as it was simmering. It was a big hit and will definately fix this again.
