Crescent rolls form the top and bottom "buns" that are filled with ground beef and shredded cheese.  It's the easiest way to serve hamburgers.

  • 1

    can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • 2

    packages (8 ounces each ) refrigerated crescent rolls

  • 1

    cup  shredded Cheddar cheese  (about 4 ounces)

How to Make It

Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat.  Pour off any fat.  Stir the soup in the skillet.
Unroll 1 package crescent roll dough and press on the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate.  Press the seams to seal.  Layer half the beef mixture and half the cheese in the pie plate.  Repeat the layers.  Unroll the remaining dough.  Place the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal, if desired.
Bake at 350°F. for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

    a few tips

    if you decide to make this I would pre bake the bottom pie crust a bit and then add the filling and the top. we add sautéed mushrooms to the pie.

    Huge hit

    I made this for the kids and they were literally fighting over the last piece. They have asked for it at least 10 times since. I added carmalized onion and 2 cloves of garlic which really incorporated an amazing flavor.

    doughy

    As one other stated, the rolls turned out doughy, even with extra time. the filling was good, and I added vegetables, like onions, green and red peppers, and mushrooms.

    Very fun and verisitile

    I made this one night and instead of hamburger pie, I called it taco pie for my very picky daughter. However, I followed the instructions as stated-she didn't miss the taco seasonings. The next time we had this, I did add some taco seasonings and it was just as good if not better. Thinking about adding some Italian or something next time.
