    egg

  • 1 1/2

    cups grated romano cheese (about 6 ounces)

  • 1 1/2

    cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs

How to Make It

Thoroughly mix the ground meats, egg, cheese, bread crumbs in a large bowl. Season with ground black pepper as desired. Shape the mixture firmly into 24 meatballs. Spray a broiler pan with vegetable cooking spray. Place the meatballs in the pan. Bake at 350°F. for 45 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through, turning once halfway during baking time.

Recipe Tips

  • Time-Saving: To fry the meatballs: Shape the meatballs into football shapes for easier frying. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a 12-inch skillet. Add the meatballs and cook until they're well browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Alternate Preparation: For meatballs in pasta sauce: Heat your favorite Prego® Italian sauce in a 4-quart saucepot. Add the uncooked meatballs and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally for 2 1/2 hours or until the meatballs are cooked through.

    I've never made meatballs before but this was so easy and they where soooo GOOD! Big hit for the family and will always use this recipe from now on!!
