How to Make It

Step 1

Cut 4 thin slices from the lemon.  Squeeze 2 teaspoons juice from the remainder of the lemon.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides.

Step 3

Stir the soup, milk, lemon juice and black pepper in the skillet and heat to a boil.  Top the chicken with the lemon slices.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Recipe Tips

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve with steamed sugar snap peas and seasoned long-grain and wild rice mix. For dessert serve frozen yogurt.
  • Ingredient Note: We develop our recipes using a 4-to 5-ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast half per serving. However, there are a range of sizes available in-store, from the butcher counter to the meat case and the freezer section. Use whichever you prefer- just follow the recipe as written above for the best result. If you're using larger chicken breasts they may require a little longer cooking time.

This was a REALLY good recipe. I used Cream of Celery because I didn't have the other on hand. But, made broccoli on the side and had rice pilaf. It was delicious. Fast and easy and I will definitely make it again and again.

    Excellent Main Course

Made this recipe for my roommates and I this evening and it was a tremendous hit! Instead of the boneless chicken breast, I used boneless chicken thighs! Truly an awesome main dish! P.S. Paired this with the Broccoli Cheese bake. Made for an excellent and easy dinner!

    Even the kids ate this!

This recipes was SO easy to make even with a two year old helping. I added a little more milk (very little) but other than that it was true to the recipe. Not to lemony. Served with fresh steamed broccoli and mash potatoes. Was a HIT in my house!
