    pound 90% extra lean ground beef

  • 1

    medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)

  • 1

    teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed

  • 1/2

    teaspoon garlic powderor 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1

    can (10 1/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Beef Gravy or 1 1/4 cups Swanson® Beef Gravy

  • 1

    package (10 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, green beans, corn, peas)

  • 6

    ounces (about 1 1/2 cups) rotini (spiral) pasta, cooked according to package directions without salt

How to Make It

Cook the beef, onion, basil and garlic powder in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, until the beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the gravy and vegetables in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Stir in the rotini and cook until the beef mixture is hot and bubbling.

    Tastes great!!

    We doubled the batch and brought it to a 'pot luck' Sunday School thing. Needless to say it was a big hit.

    Yummy and easy

    This turned out really well. I made several changes though. I used fresh chopped veggies instead of frozen and added a beef seasoning cube and some cumin for extra flavor. When I was shopping I couldn't find any beef gravy so I used some beef consume instead. Even with all those substitutions it turned out super tasty with leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I would defiantly recommend!

    easy, tasty, and budget friendly

    This recipe took me 15 minutes and was very delicious. My husband who is the pickiest eater enjoyed it. I added Parmesan cheese on top to give it extra flavor.

    Super easy

    I do agree that it needs salt but this is such an easy dish to make even my husband could make it. Everyone loved it. Will make this dish again and again. :)

    Lighter Skillet Beef & Vegetables

    I used a whole pound of ground beef and the regular (not fat free gravy) and it was very good. My 7 year old had 4 helpings!! Very easy and will definitely make it again. The only complaint was that it needed salt.
