ounces uncooked linguine
tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
cloves garlic, minced
cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Prego® Marinara Italian Sauce
cup chablis wine or other dry white wine (optional)
cans (about 6.5 ounces each ) minced clams, undrained
tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Cook and drain the linguine according to the package directions. While the linguine is cooking, heat the oil in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook and stir for 1 minute.
Stir the Italian sauce, wine, if desired, and clams (with their liquid) in the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve the clam sauce over the cooked linguine. Sprinkle with the cheese and chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
