cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
cup quick oats
medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
pound ground beef
cup packed brown sugar
teaspoons yellow mustard
Beat the egg and milk in a large bowl with a fork. Stir in the cheese, oats, onion and salt. Add the beef and mix thoroughly. Shape the beef mixture firmly into 8 loaves. Place the loaves into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Stir the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard in a small bowl and spoon the ketchup mixture over the loaves.
Bake at 350° F. for 45 minutes or until the loaves are cooked through.
