jar (23 3/4 ounces) Prego® Chunky Garden Mushroom Supreme Italian Sauce with Baby Portobello
pounds ground beef
medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
cup plain dry bread crumbs
Mix 1/2 cup of the sauce, beef, onion, bread crumbs and egg thoroughly. Shape firmly into an 8 x 4-inch loaf in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 1 hour 15 minutes or until cooked through.
Heat the remaining sauce in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Serve with the meatloaf.

This is a great recipe. We make a well on the the top of the meatloaf and add frozen mixed veggies. I also add seasoned bread crumbs and Worcestershire sauce for more flavor. "Magnifico" and Prego do imply Italian flavors so why is that a surprise?

My mother has been making this meatloaf for as long as I can remember and it is the only meatloaf I like. I've read other reviews which say it tastes more like meatballs and sauce, but being Italian, that's just fine with me. This is the only meatloaf I make or eat. Absolutely love it!!
