No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies


You've got to try these to believe them...all the ingredients are quickly combined on the stove-top then dropped by the spoonful onto a wax-paper coated pan to cool.  They're really yummy.

    cups sugar

  • 1/2

    cup milk

  • 1/4

    cup butter

  • 1/3

    cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2

    cup creamy peanut butter

  • 3

    cups quick oats

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa powder in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.  Boil for 1 minute.  Remove the saucepan from the heat.  Stir in the peanut butter, oats and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Drop the warm oat mixture by spoonfuls onto wax paper.  Let stand for 15 minutes or until the cookies are firm.

    No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

    These are the BEST and easiest cookies that I have ever made! I had them as a teenager in junior high school and have been making them ever since. They were a great treat to send in for my children's school parties. The kids loved them!!
