pounds boneless, skinless chicken thigh or breasts
teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed (crushing the seasoning releases the aromatic oils for more flavor- just use your fingers to crush before adding)
ounces mild Italian pork sausage, sliced
large onion, cut in half and sliced (about 1 cup)
small assorted bell peppers (green, red, yellow), cut into 1-inch pieces (about 1 1/2 cups)
can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
cup dry white wine or Swanson® Natural Goodness Chicken Broth
tablespoons tomato paste
clove garlic, minced
Set the oven to 375°F.
Season the chicken as desired and sprinkle with the Italian seasoning. Arrange the chicken and sausage in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
Stir the onion, peppers, soup, wine, tomato paste and garlic in a medium bowl. Pour the vegetable mixture over the chicken and sausage.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the chicken and sausage are cooked through, turning the chicken over and stirring the vegetable mixture once halfway through the baking time.
