    ounces mushrooms, sliced (about 2 cups)

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/8

    teaspoon ground black pepper

    jar (23.5 ounces) Prego® Farmers' Market Classic Marinara Sauce

    cups water

  • 8

    ounces uncooked spaghetti, broken in half

  • 1/4

    cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2

    cup chopped fresh basil leaves

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oil in a 6-quart saucepot over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, salt and black pepper and cook for 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Add the sauce, water and spaghetti to the saucepot and heat to a boil. Cover. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for 20 minutes or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in the cheese and basil.

Recipe Tips

  • Time-Saving Tip: Save on cook time by omitting the mushrooms, oil, salt and pepper and skipping Step 1, then using Prego® Farmers' Market Mushroom Sauce instead of the Marinara.

    I've made this several times and I really enjoy it. I live alone and I have leftovers for a couple more meals. And one pot? What could be easier.
