    small green pepperor yellow bell peppers, cut into 2-inch-long strips

    cup sliced fresh mushrooms(about 3 ounces)

  • 1

    teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed

  • 1/4

    teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1

    cup Pace® Picante Sauce - Medium

  • 2

    medium tomato, coarsely chopped (about 2 cups)

  • 1

    pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 12

    ounces (about 3/4 of a 1 pound package) tube-shaped pasta (ziti), cooked and drained (about 4 cups)

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the peppers, mushrooms, basil and garlic powder to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 2

Stir the picante sauce, tomatoes and shrimp in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink. Stir the pasta in the skillet and heat through.

    Great taste!

    This recipe was so quick, easy and delicious! I added sliced onions with the peppers and mushrooms also a little crushed red pepper. Served it over linguine and it was awesome. Definitely a keeper

    Picante Shrimp & Pepper Pasta

    I added sliced onions to the peppers and mushrooms. I also added sliced stuffed olives when I added the shrimp. Fantastic! I used part picante and part salsa to get chunkier vegetables, and I used spaghetti noodles.

    Excellent! My new favorite! So easy to make. I didn't think 1 cup of pace would make enough sauce, but everything came out perfect! Even my 4 year old loved it!
