Here's a really delicious lunch-box idea that's so much better than a plain turkey sandwich.  Picante sauce and avocado pair perfectly with sliced turkey, and it's all rolled up in a flour tortilla.  Let the kids help make them...it's fun!

    of an 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened

  • 4

    flour tortilla (10-inch), warmed

  • 1/2

    pound thinly sliced deli turkey breast (about 16 slices)

  • 1/2

    cup Pace® Picante Sauce - Medium

  • 1

    large avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced (about 1 cup)

How to Make It

Step 1

Spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese on each tortilla to within 1/2 inch of the edge.  Top each with 4 turkey slices, 2 tablespoons picante sauce and 1/4 cup avocado.

Step 2

Roll up the tortillas tightly, leaving the ends open. Cut each roll in half. Serve with additional picante sauce for dipping.

Recipe Tips

  • To make appetizer rounds: Cut each rolled tortilla into 1/2-inch slices and arrange on a serving platter. Serve with additional picante sauce for dipping.

    Lunch made easy

    My first time using tortillas for lunch and I loved the taste and will definitely make these again very easy to put together.

    Great for summer lunches!

    Made these the other day and they were really quite good. I added some sliced cucumber just for crunch and texture and it really added the little something extra that made them great. I made my husbands with sliced provolone instead of cream cheese because if it doesn't have cheese it's just not worth putting in his mouth in his opinion, but kept mine true to recipe. He said it was the best wrap he ever had in his life. And that is REALLY saying something from him! Definitely a keeper for us!!
