    pound fresh broccoli, cut into spears or 1 package (10 ounces) frozen broccoli spears, cooked and drained

    can (12.5 ounces) Swanson® Premium White Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, drained

  • 1

    can Campbell's® Condensed Broccoli Cheese Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Broccoli Cheese Soup

  • 1/3

    cup milk

  • 1/2

    cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)

    tablespoons dry bread crumbs

  • 1

    tablespoon butter, melted

How to Make It

Step 1

Place the broccoli and chicken into a 9-inch pie plate. Stir the soup and milk in a medium bowl. Pour the soup mixture over the broccoli and chicken.

Step 2

Sprinkle the cheese over the soup mixture. Stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the cheese.

Step 3

Bake at 450°F. for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread crumb mixture is golden brown.

Recipe Tips

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve with sliced ripe tomatoes topped with chopped fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette.  For dessert serve a vanilla-chocolate chip parfait: layer vanilla pudding with crumbled chocolate chip cookies drizzled with chocolate syrup.

    Best Chicken casserole dish ever!

    I love this recipe. Its an easy weeknight meal that we love. I cut my chicken into 1 inch chunks instead if leaving it whole to make sure you get chicken in every bite. Other than that I don't deviate from the recipe and its delicious every time!

    Great Recipe

    This is a great versatile recipe. I did some tweeking too. I used fresh chicken instead of canned and I mixed a diced tomato with the soup and milk mixture for a further element. Since I was using fresh chicken I baked it for 15 mins first without the topping. For the topping I used 2 parts cheddar and 1 part mozarella and mixed in some panko breadcrumbs. It gave it a lovely crust. I will definitely make it again and next time I will try some sweet corn with the broccoli and chicken.

    My favourite meal right now!

    Such a delicious meal. My husband makes this for me, but he tweaks it a bit. He doubles the recipe, but instead of using 2 cans of the same soup mix, he uses one of the cream of broccoli, and one of the cheddar cheese. He also uses fresh cubed chicken, and tops the casserole with lots of French's crispy onions. I would have it every day if he would let me!

    easy weeknight meal

    Very tasty & I will be making it again soon. I did tweak it a little by adding a little bit of velveeta to the broccoli cheese soup to make it more appetizing for the kiddos. I also put white rice on the bottom of the pan before baking and layered everything else on top, this made it more of a casserole. I used crushed croutons as we did not have any breadcrumbs available.
