LOVE this twist on a classic!

I love this recipe so much. The apples add a tart and seasonal twist to the typical stuffing. The Pepperdige Farm stuffing works well but I've also made very dry cornbread and used that for my base instead. Love the corn and walnuts. YUM!

    very good semi healthy dressing

I'm a health nut so I'm always trying to find ways to make some of these old southern recipes healthier. While it is impossible to make dressing healthier because of the bread, I thought that this recipe was very good. The apple gave it a good flavor that was very distinguishable and I replaced the pork sausage with turkey which gave it somewhat of a kick but not a lot. overall this was really delicious but wish the site would give a better direction on how long to bake it at to make it perfect.
