Step 2

Stir the soup, broth, water, Worcestershire and pasta in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender, stirring often. Stir in the sour cream and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling.

    One of our family favorites

I've been making this dish for so long that I can make it with my eyes s closed. Lol. I always double up the recipe and cut the meat into chunks rather than the strips and add 2 cups of sour cream. It's a hit every time.

    Beef Stroganoff Adjustment

If you substitute Campbell's Beef Broth with Campbell's Beef Consomme, the flavor will be much better and you can skil the worchestershire sauce. I also add a small can of Campbell's Condensed Cream of Chicken soup to account for the zing from the wine that real beef stroganoff has but this version is not nearly as time consumming as the real thing and just as tasty! We make a big batch cuz' it goes well over baked / mashed potatoes too!!

    Pretty good dish

This was a pretty tasty dish. I suggest marinating the strips of beef for a day. We marinated it with soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, ginger, garlic, and Worcester sauce for 24 hours. It made the beef much more flavorful.

    Gummy

There is nothing wrong with this recipe until you get to the part about adding uncooked noodles to the skillet. Cooking the noodles with the broth and beef, however, made the dish inedible and glue-y. The starch from the noodles makes the dish too pasty. I will use the same recipe, but lightly cook my noodles in beef broth separately, then drain them and add to the beef. Disappointing recipe, and a waste of expensive ingredients.
