How to Make It

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook until the chops are well browned on both sides. Remove the pork chops and set them aside.

Step 2

Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining oil. Add the onion. Cook and stir until the onion is tender-crisp.

Step 3

Stir the sauce and spinach into the skillet and heat to a boil. Return the pork chops to the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook until the chops are cooked through. Sprinkle with the cheese.

Recipe Tips

  • Tip: To thaw spinach, microwave on for HIGH 3 minutes, breaking apart with a fork halfway through heating.

So easy for a REAL meal.

I used fresh Spinach and skipped the onions. (because the marinara had onions in it.)

Great texture, flavor, taste and palatability

I used bone in pork chops (next time will use boneless). Preparation was easy. Unfortunately did not have any Prego Marinara Sauce (sorry Campbells) so used another brand of Arrabiatia Sauce with a touch of crushed pepper heat. Also added a can of mushroons (they make everything tast better). Once pork was re-added to skillet I covered and simmered for 15 minutes. Pork was fork tender. Served with a side of spaghetti with some of the sauce over the spaghetti and a small Caesar salad.. The flavors and spices blended well and the dish was a gastronimical delight. Try this one - it will be a staple in your recipe box. Recipe would work equally well with chicken, beef, or even ground beef. Molto Buono!!!!!
