    tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 1/2

    pounds beef flank steak

  • 2

    medium onion, sliced (about 1 cup)

  • 2

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1

    teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed

How to Make It

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides. Remove the beef from the skillet. Pour off any fat. Add the onions, garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet and cook until the onions are tender. Return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the Italian sauce. Reduce the heat to low and cook the beef for 3 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Slice the beef into thin diagonal slices. Serve with the sauce.

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve with potatoes roasted with olive oil and garlic and steamed broccoli.  For dessert serve fresh strawberries with light whipped topping sprinkled with raw sugar.

    Sliced Steak Pizzaiola

    This tasted okay, but the flavors were almost a bit off considering it is spaghetti sauce. I think a tomato sauce of some sort may be good, but it seemed off with the cut of meat. I added a little red wine to the sauce and it deepened the flavor some. My kids and husband ate it, just not one of our favorites.

    This is very good. It kind of tastes like braciole which my whole family adores. It just takes a little longer than the recipe calls until its cooked. It shouldnt' be a problem at all because it is absolutely worth waiting.
