    cup uncooked long grain white rice

  • 1/2

    cup sweetened dried cranberriesor golden raisins

  • 1 1/2

    cups heavy cream

  • 1/4

    teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make It

Step 1

Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with vegetable cooking spray. Stir the juice, rice and cranberries in the cooker.

Step 2

Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until the rice is tender, stirring once during cooking.

Step 3

Stir the cream into the cooker. Pour the rice mixture into a 2-quart serving bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the cinnamon before serving. Serve warm or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

    A typo somewhere

    I don't think anyone has actually made this recipe. If they did they would see that there is a mistake in the recipe somewhere. There is no way that 4 cups of juice will be absorbed into 1/4 cup of rice and have the consistency shown in the photo. Not surprising, mine turned out watery. Not a pudding at all. The taste was very good, only the consistency and texture were poor. I'll try it again with a better rice to liquid ratio.
