I decided to add apple cider, in place of the water or white wine. My husband said over & over again how delicious it was. I also browned the kielbasa before putting in the slow cooker and we think that it really added to the flavor. This is a keeper!!

I made this for dinner despite the fair amount of bad reviews. I used water instead of white wine, but other than that I made it exactly as directed. I'm only a moderate sauerkraut fan and thought it was very good. I'd definitely make it again.

If you like sauerkraut we would NOT recommend this recipe. We didn't like anything about it. We absolutely love kielbasa and sauerkraut but this recipe was not good. We threw it away with tomorrow's trash. . We can't even Imagine putting over noodles or potatoes, how gross!
