  • 2

    medium green pepper, chopped (about 2 1/2 cups)

  • 3

    medium onion, chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)

  • 1/4

    cup Dijon-style mustard

  • 3

    tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 3

    tablespoons cider vinegar

  • 2

    tablespoons packed brown sugar

  • 1

    teaspoon ground black pepper

How to Make It

Step 1

Cook the beef in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat.  Pour off any fat.

Step 2

Stir the beef, soup, green peppers, onions, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar and black pepper in a 6-quart slow cooker.

Step 3

Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours* or until the vegetables are tender.  Divide the beef mixture among the buns.

    Slow Cooker Savory Sloppy Joes

    These are the best Sloppy Joes. The ingredients are very simple, but the result is the best Sloppy Joe you have ever had. After cooking in the crock pot, the sauce sort of caramelizes into almost a BBQ flavor. I have made these several times for parties and they are always a hit. Way better than any other recipe I have found, and crock pot cooking makes them super easy. A+ on this one.
