How to Make It

Step 1

Place chicken into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.  Drizzle with the butter.

Step 2

Bake at 375°F. for 30 minutes.  Spoon the soup over the chicken.

Step 3

Bake for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Recipe Tips

  • Tip:  If desired, remove the skin from the chicken before baking.  Stir 2 tablespoons water into the soup in the can before spooning it over the chicken.
  • Tip: To melt the butter, remove the wrapper and place the butter into a microwaveable cup. Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds.

    Quick & so yummy!

    I love this recipe because it offers a lot if improvisation. I use more soup so that I can add a bag or two of frozen veggies and then top with bread crumbs towards the end in order to get a nice golden brown crunchy topping. I serve it over biscuits or rice or with a baked sweet potato, and it's a huge hit!

    Best way to bake chicken!

    Made this for a quick chicken and dressing work night dinner. I used skinless, boneless chicken tenders & cream of chicken soup with herbs....so much more flavor than the regular cream of chicken soup. After the chicken was cooked, I took the chicken out added a little chicken stock to thin and used it as the gravy for the dressing. It was fabulous....I will make this often!!!!

    Great recipe! Quick and easy!

    My mom made this for us often. She would also add a can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup which made it taste so good. And she always added water until it was the consistency she desired.

    Quick and Simple

    My kids are not soup lovers and turning soups into sauces are a hit in my family! They absolutely loved it! I do have to say adding water was better. I added a whole can and whisked it and added a little milk. Turned out nice and creamy!
