    cloves garlic, minced

  • 10

    small pork sausage links, cut up

  • 1/4

    teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed

    jar (24 ounces) Pace® Picante Sauce or Pace® Thick & Chunky Salsa Mild

  • 3

    medium green pepperor red bell peppers, cut into 1/4-inch rings (about 24 rings)

  • 1

    medium onion, sliced (about 1/2 cup)

  • 8

    ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (about 3 cups)

  • 8

    ounces (1/2 of a 16-ounce package) linguine, cooked and drained (about 4 cups)

How to Make It

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, sausages and Italian seasoning. Cook until the sausages are well browned and cooked through. Stir the picante sauce, peppers, onion and mushrooms in the skillet. Heat to a boil. Cover the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 25 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Serve over the linguine and sprinkle with the cheese.

    Spicy Sausages and Linguine

    This is a delicious recipe, I used mild salsa because my daughter doesn't like too much heat and it was a hit with all three of us.

    Spicy Sausages and Linguine

    Could not find the small pork sausage links so I bought a 16 oz. pkg. of Hot Italian Sausage (4 links), I only used 2 of them...cutting them in slices using my kitchen shears then I cut each slice in half. I bought the hot sauce based on a reviewer's comment that this recipe was sort of spicy so if you like spice then use spicy sausage...glad I did because using the hot sausage along with Pace Chunky Salsa Medium made it a great dish. My husband rated it EXCELLENT. This is definitely a keeper!

    Spicy Sausages and Linguine

    It was a nice change from regular marinara sauce, just make sure that you get good dinner sausage. This dish is sort of spicy so if you like alot of spice I would get spicy sausage if not just get regular.
