    large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)

    jar (24 ounces) Prego® Spicy Italian Sausage Sauce

  • 1

    pound rigatoni pasta, cooked and drained

  • 1

    cup reduced fat (part skim) ricotta cheese

  • 1

    cup shredded mozzarella cheese(about 4 ounces)

  • 1/4

    cup grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the oven to 350°F.  Spray a 13x9x2-inch baking dish with vegetable cooking spray. 

Step 2

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.  Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Stir the onion, sauce, rigatoni and ricotta cheese in a large bowl.  Pour the rigatoni mixture into the baking dish.  Sprinkle with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.  Cover the baking dish.

Step 4

Bake for 35 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.

    Awesome weeknight meal!

    This was delicious. I added in actual spicy Italian sausage to add a bit of protein and it was so so good. A green side salad (and a glass of red wine) made this a perfect Monday night meal.

    great base recipe

    I will make this again except i would prefer it to be saucier. Next time i will add half the amount of rigatoni as it made way more than I need or if your feeding a family I would suggest adding 2 jars of sauce.
