How to Make It

Step 1

Cook the sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring often to break up the meat. Pour off any fat.

Step 2

Stir the soup, water, tomatoes and tortellini in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes or until the tortellini is tender.

Step 3

Stir in the basil and serve with the cheese, if desired.

    So simple!

This was easy to prepare and so good. My husband loved it! I used 9oz of refrigerated 3-cheese tricolor tortellini instead of the pound of frozen and it was more than adequate. This will be a recipe that I will repeat often. Thank you for a great recipe.

    Glad I tried this recipe!

Wow, this is great. So easy and tasty!! I used regular ground Italian sausage. I added a little diced red pepper and onion that I saute'ed. My diced tomoatoes had garlic and olive oil. Salad and bread rounded out the meal. A definite keeper!

    Quick easy and tasty

It was easy to make I did a couple things different.I used sweet Italian sausage instead of turkey At the end of browning the sausage I threw a teaspoon of minced garlic in for the last 3 minutes or so. And I added fresh green pepper to the rest of the ingredients when adding to the sausage. Came out good family loved it I am a hero yet again!
