    tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1

    pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 3/4-inch thick, cut into strips

  • 1

    jar (16 ounces) Pace® Picante Sauce

  • 1

    cup Swanson® Beef Broth or Swanson® Beef Stock

  • 1

    cup uncooked parboiled long-grain white rice

  • 1

    tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

How to Make It

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until it's well browned, stirring often. Pour off any fat. Stir the picante sauce, broth and rice in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.  Season to taste.  Sprinkle the beef mixture with the parsley, if desired.

    Love this recipe

    My kids and love this recipe! Especially my 11 year old, she always ask me to make this recipe and it's so easy to make and not expensive at all

    Great weeknight dinner!

    Everyone loved this recipe! I did add extra broth to this to get the rice cooked and I did cook it a little longer but it was still very tasty.

    sooo good

    I have made this several times now & both my husband I have enjoyed it so much. When you want something with extra flavor, this is the one. Easy to make too.

    Delicious!

    This recipe was so easy to make and so yummy! My two kids, ages 2 and 3, loved it and so did I. If it didn't turn out for you, you obviously didn't do something right! I made this with the mild picante salsa first and then the second time I made it I added a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce with the mild picante salsa and it wasn't spicy and tasted even better! Definitely a recipe to add to the weekly menu!

    Did I misread???

    Why did this recipe work for everyone else except me!? I have gone over the directions FOUR times now to make sure I did everything right. ..which I DID, and here I am, going on FIFTY minutes and the rice is STILL crunchy!!! It's ridiculous!! Again, I've double checked the recipe which says UNCOOKED rice and so I DIDN'T cook it, now I'm trying to keep the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pan since there's NO liquid left and hoping that the rice gets soft before MIDNIGHT, because I would really like to NOT have wasted my money on beef that I had to throw away because it is now RUBBER!!! GRRRRRRR! !!
