Step 1
Season the beef with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder and additional seasoning as desired. On your Instant Pot®, select the Saute setting. Add the beef and cook until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Press Cancel.
Step 2
Add the noodles, sauce and water to the Instant Pot®. Lock the lid and close the pressure release valve. Select the Pressure Cook or Manual setting according to which model of Instant Pot® you're using. (If using Manual setting, select High pressure.) Set the timer to 5 minutes (timer will begin counting down once pressure is reached). When done, press Cancel and use the quick release method to release the pressure.
Step 3
Stir in half the mozzarella and ricotta cheeses. Season to taste. Drop the remaining ricotta cheese by spoonfuls over the top of the mixture, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover and let stand for 2 minutes to melt the mozzarella cheese before serving.
A delicious, gooey, cheesy mess!
I made this per the recipe, but I used cottage cheese instead of ricotta. I found there was too much sauce for the amount of noodles and not quite enough meat. Next time I would use 1.5 pounds of beef and more noodles. The longer it stood the thicker the sauce got, so I probably wouldn't change the amount of sauce and water, I just wouldn't let it stand as long. The kids loved it, so I will definitely make this again.
Easy Peasy!!
So easy & delicious but I used turkey instead of beef plus added more Italian seasoning and but this recipe is delicious, so worth it!!
Super easy and quick and delicious!
I only used 2.5 jars of sauce, and two cups of water. The noodles were a little firm for me, I will cook them 6 minutes. Otherwise this recipe is a keeper!
Hmm mine got burned message.
So what could have gone wrong? It looked liked the sauce and some noodles stuck to the bottom. Any helpful hints?
Forget these haters
Honestly, this is the no hassle easy lasagna recipe you were looking for when you got it in your head you could do quick easy lasagna. This isn't perfectly layered if you're lazy about it, but that's up to you not the recipe. We added 1/2 tsp of salt and a frozen brick of spinach (did natural pressure release after 10min to be extra sure, I don't think it was necessary). It turned out wonderfully, I'll do this at least 2x a month.
