We love that pasta night means a quick and easy dinner.  This Spicy Rigatoni is a quick, easy, family-friendly, one-pot meal but more importantly, it tastes amazing!  While the rigatoni is cooking, sauté some bacon until crisp, then add garlic and onion.  The bacon adds smokiness to the spicy marinara, which is full of flavor and has just the right amount of spice. Finish with a swirl of cream for richness and to balance the heat, then toss with the rigatoni and serve.  You only need 6 ingredients, most you probably already have on hand, and 30 minutes, start to finish.  Top with more crisp bacon and serve.  This Spicy Rigatoni recipe is an easy homemade comfort food that you can make anytime.


  • 8 ounces uncooked rigatoni pasta (about 4 cups)
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon or 4 ounces pancetta, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Spicy Marinara Italian Sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream


  • Step 1

    Cook and drain the rigatoni according to the package directions.

  • Step 2

    While the rigatoni is cooking, cook the bacon in a 6-quart saucepot over medium heat until crisp.  Drain the bacon on paper towels.  Reserve the drippings.

  • Step 3

    Heat the drippings in the pot over medium heat.  Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until tender.

  • Step 4

    Stir in the sauce, heavy cream, cooked rigatoni and half the bacon and cook until hot, stirring occasionally.  Sprinkle with the remaining bacon and chopped fresh basil, if desired.
