Tired of the same old pizza? This unique version features a creamy, cheesy Alfredo sauce topped with seasoned chicken, two cheeses and roasted red peppers. The results are simply outstanding!

Ingredients

cost per recipe: $7.03

  • 8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced or minced
  • 1 package (14 ounces) fully-baked pizza crust (11-inch)
  • 1/2 cup Prego® Homestyle Alfredo Sauce or Roasted Garlic Parmesan Alfredo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup jarred roasted red bell pepper, rinsed, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions

  • Tips

    • Easy Substitution: For White Shrimp Pizza, substitute 1/2 pound uncooked shrimp (31 to 40 count per pound), peeled, deveined and chopped, for the chicken.  In Step 1, cook the shrimp for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Add 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and the garlic and cook and stir for 1 minute or until the shrimp are cooked through.  Proceed as directed above.
  • Step 1

Heat the oven to 450°F.  While the oven is heating, season the chicken as desired.  Heat the oil in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook until well browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.  Add 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and the garlic and cook and stir for 1 minute.

  • Step 2

Place the pizza crust onto a baking sheet.  Spread the sauce on the crust to within 1/2-inch of the edge.  Layer with the chicken mixture, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and peppers.  Sprinkle with the remaining Italian seasoning.

  • Step 3

Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheeses are melted.  Sprinkle with the basil, if desired.

This was very good. My sister has to do the gluten free diet so I made this with thin sliced yukon gold potatoes for the crust. Find a gluten free Alfredo sauce or make your own & it's definitely a hit. Season the potato crust for extra flavor. I will definitely make this again & again.
