  • 16 ounces uncooked farfalle (bow tie) pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken sausage or Italian pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1 medium tomato, diced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Homestyle Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Prego® Basil Pesto
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves

  • Step 1

Cook and drain the farfalle according to the package directions.  While the farfalle is cooking, heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook for 12 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

  • Step 2

Remove the sausage from the skillet. Add the onion and tomato to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 3

Cut the sausage into 1/2-inch slices and return to the skillet. Stir in the Alfredo and pesto sauces. Reduce the heat to low.  Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 4

Place the cooked farfalle into a large bowl. Add the sausage mixture and toss to coat. Season to taste.  Sprinkle with the basil before serving.
