Creamy Vodka Bowties with Mushrooms

Who needs take out when you can whip up this delicious pasta dish that tastes like it’s from your favorite Italian restaurant.  You simply sauté mushrooms and garlic then add our creamy vodka sauce which delivers fabulous flavor for a rich, creamy and delicious meatless meal. 


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 8 ounces (8 ounces) sliced baby portobello mushrooms or white mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Creamy Vodka Sauce
  • 4 cups cooked farfalle (bow tie) pasta (from 8 ounces/about 3 cups dry)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves


  • Tips

    • If you can't find our Creamy Vodka Sauce, you can substitute Traditional and add 1/4 cup vodka and 1/4 cup cream cheese.  Add the vodka after cooking the mushrooms and boil for 3 minutes.  Add the cream cheese and cook until melted before adding the farfalle and basil.
  • Step 1

    Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.  Add the garlic, mushrooms and salt and cook until the mushrooms are tender, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 2

    Stir the sauce in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot.  Add the farfalle and cheese and toss to coat.  Season to taste.  Sprinkle with the basil.
