Meaty, cheesy lasagna is so easy when you follow our Instant Pot® Lasagna recipe.  With only a few ingredients and no need to  precook the noodles, this is a perfect meal for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 90% extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16 ounces uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 jars (24 ounces each) Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups shredded part skim mozzarella cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 cup part skim ricotta cheese

Instructions

  • Tips

    • Ingredient Note: Customize this recipe by using other varieties of Prego® Sauce, or a combination of two.  We also liked 1 jar Prego® Farmers' Market Tomato & Basil Sauce plus 1 jar Prego® Farmers' Market Roasted Garlic Sauce- delicious!
    • Recipe Note: Multi-cooker settings and features vary widely across different models and brands.  Refer to the manual for your cooker to learn which functions will produce the cooking methods (saute, pressure cook) needed for this recipe.
  • Step 1

Season the beef with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder and additional seasoning as desired.  On your Instant Pot®, select the Saute setting.  Add the beef and cook until well browned, stirring often to separate meat.  Press Cancel.

  • Step 2

Add the noodles, sauce and water to the Instant Pot®.  Lock the lid and close the pressure release valve.  Select the Pressure Cook or Manual setting according to which model of Instant Pot® you're using. (If using Manual setting, select High pressure.)  Set the timer to 5 minutes (timer will begin counting down once pressure is reached).  When done, press Cancel and use the quick release method to release the pressure.

  • Step 3

Stir in half the mozzarella and ricotta cheeses.  Season to taste.  Drop the remaining ricotta cheese by spoonfuls over the top of the mixture, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.  Cover and let stand for 2 minutes to melt the mozzarella cheese before serving.
