Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked farfalle (bow tie) pasta (about 3 cups)
  • 1 1/4 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine, water or chicken broth
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Lemon Alfredo Sauce
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Cook and drain the pasta according to package directions.  While the pasta is cooking, toss the chicken with the flour and season with salt and pepper.  

  • Step 2

    Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium heat and add the butter and the oil.  Once the butter is melted, add the chicken, being careful not to overcrowd, and cook for 6 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.

  • Step 3

    Remove the chicken and keep warm.  Add the wine to skillet, stirring to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.  Add the sauce and capers and bring to a boil over medium heat.   Return the chicken and any juices to the skillet and cook for 4 minutes or until the chicken is done.  

  • Step 4

    To serve, arrange pasta on serving dish and top with the chicken and sauce.  Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired.
