Instructions

  • Tips

    • Preparation Shortcut: You may substitute 2 packages (about 9 ounces each) refrigerated cooked chicken strips for the fresh chicken and omit step 1.
    • For Chicken Bacon Alfredo, stir in 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon (about 4 slices cooked drained and crumbled) with the sauce.
    • To make a bigger batch, try our Chicken Broccoli Alfredo with Fettuccine recipe.
    • To adjust the level of sauciness, reserve some of the pasta water before draining the cooked fettuccine. Then add the reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency.
  • Step 1

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chicken with the salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until the chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally. If desired, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Remove the chicken and garlic, if using, from the skillet and keep warm. Reduce the heat to medium.

  • Step 2

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in the skillet, if adding broccoli. Add the broccoli and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the Alfredo sauce in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until the broccoli is tender, stirring occasionally. Add the chicken and fettuccine and toss to coat.

  • Step 3

Sprinkle with the parsley and serve immediately.
