No need to boil or drain the pasta in this dish. Just add cream of chicken soup and chicken broth to sautéed chicken, onion and garlic, stir in uncooked pasta and simmer away. The pasta is extra delicious from absorbing all of the fabulous flavors. Finish with Parmesan, pepper and a touch of fresh basil.

Season the chicken. Heat the oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes or until tender-crisp, adding the garlic for the last 1 minute of the cooking time, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the soup and broth. Stir in the penne and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 15 minutes or until the penne is tender and the chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with the cheese, black pepper and basil.
I made this last night and my family loved it! I have two picky toddlers and a husband who's that that big on one pot meals and everyone had seconds. I took in to account what the previous comment said about it missing something and used the Chicken and Herbs Condensed soup and it added a wonderful flavor. We will definitely make this again!
My daughter took one bite and said, Mom this is fire!! I added a little extra minced garlic and I added milk as well as broth. IT made it richer and bit more flavorful. Happy cooking!
I made this and my family loved it. I had to double the whole thing. So I added cream of chicken and cream of chicken and mushroom. They loved it so much that I'm making it for the second time, as we speak
QUICK AND EASY
A quick, easy dish to make. Seemed to be lacking something, though. My wife and I enjoyed it, but would not make it again. We used the cream of chicken soup in the recipe.
