Slow Cooker Barley & Lentil Soup
This was so easy that I had to try it! Mine was done at 6 hr. on low. I added half a red pepper chopped only because I had one that needed used up. With that said, this was missing something. I added an 8 oz. can of tomatoe sauce that had garlic, basil and oregano in it That helped tremendously, that and I did use some shredded cheese on top like the previous reviewer, crackers and I was good to go. Thanks for a change of pace.
Delish
I'm always looking for a good soup with lentils, and a soup that's super easy. This one did not disappoint. I added the 4 cups of beef broth, and 4 cups of V-8 tomato juice, since I didn't have enough beef broth.
Kind of bland
I thought this soup was kind of bland. Admittedly I didn't use Swanson broth...used Target brand. It's not bad, but just needs something.
Super easy, so delicious
Very simple to assemble. Perfect to come home to after work on a cold winter night. Add a dash of Frank's red hot sauce for seasoning.
This soup was easy to make, filling, and my family loved it! I served it with grated cheese on top.
